SAVINGS/LOSS

EARLY MEDICAL MANAGEMENT

All of the above can be accomplished except:
Very little reporting and documentation assistance to supervision.
Specialist referrals must come after several primary care visits.
"Buddy" referrals are commonplace and expensive.
Toll-Free communication may be available-too late to change much.
Many large (and sometimes unnecessary or inappropriate) diagnostic procedures are done within hours or days of the occurrence of injury, No way to deny those after the fact. The employee/patients injury has had time to take on a "life of it's own".

CLOSURE

LATE MEDICAL MANAGEMENT

Fee reviews and AUTOPSIES of the medical issues may take place. Savings opportunities are essentially lost.
